III | Diary of a creator of his own destiny
Never ask a coach what you should do, ask him what he would do if he were in your place
Diary of a creator of his own destiny is my Skin in the game: being venerable to the consequences of my actions and what I say. I put on paper how do I face the day-to-day situations that my context provides me. Maybe it helps you or gives you some ideas to apply in your context. Here you can read past editions:
I believe that knowledge can be reached through papers or experience. Bruno explains to me in his own words things that I have heard from science. What I call “misalignment”, when the player doesn’t buy you the bread... He explains it with the expression: “I have the feeling that I am stealing from him.” He suggests to a player that to change the grip and the athlete —with the influence of his father behind him who has already brainwashed his mind— tells him that he does not agree, that he does not need it. Bruno surrenders: “Let him do whatever he wants.”
With all the good faith in the world, seeing reality through his glasses, he wants to help the player. The player does not buy it. Since Bruno does it in good faith and the player doesn’t believe... he feels bad. He acts from the heart and the player denies him help. That’s why Bruno says he has the feeling that the player thinks he’s stealing from him. Bruno and I, about that situation, know the same thing. He has arrived it in the padel court; me, I learned it between readings.
